The photos match ethnicity, age, and gender of the demo user profiles and look consistently in the application. It was important for the company that the images can be used without legal worries, such as copyrights and royalties.

“My team is managing a free trial system for one of our strategic software products. In this free trial, everybody in the world can try out the capabilities of our product and watch our demo data and processes.

Considering the demo data within the trial, we focused on the following two aspects: we wanted the demo data to be highly consistent and as close to reality as possible. For example, the names of personas should fit their nationality, and their portrait photos should be matching to age and gender. We put special emphasis on legal aspects like copyrights and royalties.

For this reason, the usage of generated photos was the perfect solution for our use case. We were provided with the option to specify our requirements by API parameters such as the percentage of young adults versus adults and elderly people, or the proportion of male versus female personas. Very soon we received our set of photos in a very high quality, perfectly fitting the distribution we have specified. We could even choose the background color of the photos.

All in all, the whole process went smoothly and in a professional manner. We are really happy with the collaboration and the final result.”
